Most 3D guys running blue fiber utilize an adjustable light to supplement the brightness for different conditions. I wouldn't want to deal with that on a hunting rig...

The human eye is tuned to see green better than other colors that's why it appears brightest. I use green yellow and red pins, but you can extend the length of fiber on the other colors to make them brighter if you buy replacement fiber.

I just pulled two of my pins out of my CBE Tek and am now running:

.029 -- green
.019 -- red
.019 -- green

I am going to leave the blue out of it and run a blue in my 3D rig on the Vector Turbo when she gets in.

Like others I have a red 010 pin with two green above and two green below. All .010" and I actually just replaced all new fiber and pins with the new bulletproof pins from spotHogg with a sight light. Loving it!

I am liking my 5 pin set up on my hunter hogg it:

1 .029 green 20yd
2 .010 red 30yd
3 .010 yellow 40yd
4 .010 green 50yd
5 .010 green 50yd

I went with red for the 2nd/30yrd pin as it is the most common range I am putting a pin on an animal. I am thinking "red is dead" when I am doing that so it gets me in the right head space. Yellow for the 3rd pin is a good break before green for the longer pokes. I can see yellow well enough in dark timber for it to not be an issue. Green is my top pin because in low light situations the shot is going to have to be close for me to take it and at that point I want the largest and brightest pin available.

Good find. I just placed my order. It was cheaper than what I found at the local shops plus blue and more fiber.

I don't see the red very well either. I run stock combo from Spot Hogg. When I buy another site from them I'll custom color yellow 20, green 30, yellow 40, green 50, red 60, red 70, red 80. The reds should be my reminder not to shoot animals that far but still usefull for 3D. My current 7 deadly pin site has a white sticker on the 50 to make finding the right pin faster.

My eyes can see green much better than any other color. Takes some getting used to to use all one color though
