I have a Remington 700 338 federal in a Stockys nextgen ultra light carbon hunter, that I absolutely couldn’t make shoot better than 1.5-2 inch group. Finally decided to put in aluminum pillars and bed the action, and wow this thing will shoot any load I have thrown at it so far! I know these are only 3shot groups but it’s a major improvement! 100yds 3 different loads with 185ttsx

Anything that brings more consistency into fold is always a good decision, stoked for you! Interested in seeing some ten shot groups

Did it have the AccuBlock? Looking at one of those now and would prefer an install and go system rather than spending extra on gunsmith work.

It did have the accublock but the action never did seem to “lock” into place. It felt sort of squishy when tightening the screws. I had torqued it down and re check it several times and when we pulled it out of the stock to pillar it you could see where the action had shifted enough to make rub marks. Now it rock solid and the screws get tight and solid. I had hoped the accublock would be enough but it was not on my 700 action with Douglas #2 barrel. I love how the stock fits me and feels, but I would have thinking real hard bout buying another one as high as they have gotten or try something else like a MPI. I think mine was like $399 on sale a little over a year ago.
