Well load testing is done on my new 300 WSM I did on a long action Defiance ANTIX with a 23" Benchmark carbon barrel. Running a 215 berger at a mild 2685 fps and a ES of 8-12 fps for 10-18 shots. Most consistent load Ive tested PERIOD. Using .005 neck tension. Powder charge node is almost a grain wide. Did a seating depth test and had 5" vertical for 18 shots at 840 yds. 3 shots per seating depth. Most were 3" or less vertical at 840 yds. .029-.032 off shot the smallest though. This rifle and load has shot a pile of awesome groups already. Every time I take it to my 840 yd target its under 1/2 moa vertical.

Rifle has the following:
Defiance ANTIX
Manners LRH in high plains camo
Benchmark 23" 9.0 tw sendero light
Hawkins Hunter bottom metal and 3 round flush mag w spacer
Triggertech Diamond set at 1.5 lbs
Nightforce ATACR 4-20
TBAC Dominus SR suppressor
MDT lightweight double pull bipod.

Weighs 9 lbs 12 oz with optics and no suppressor or bipod. 10 lbs 10 oz with suppressor.
My goal for this rifle was to have a mild and stupid accurate load in the 300 wsm so I would get 2000+ rounds of benchrest accuracy out of it. The powder Im running is cool burning and clean. Ive had almost zero throat erosion so far. In the neighborhood of 15xs less throat erosion than a 28 nosler would at this point. The 215 at 2685 FPS still has enough energy to take elk at 900+ yds. And the difference in wind drift between the 215 at 2685 FPS and the bigger magnums isn't as much as youd think. You cant shoot or call the difference in wind. Only difference between the wsm and my norma improved would be down range energy.

Well I decided to send a few more rounds at my 840 yd plate this morning with my 300 WSM. 4 shots measured 2.559"/.29 moa @ 840 yds. Vertical was 1.687"/.191 moa. I woulda sent the 5th shot but the wind picked up when I was getting ready to send it. Looks like 5 shots on the target but one of em is from a previous group that was painted over. Not bad for a 20x scope off a bipod. Shes a tack driver.

Well done! What powder are you using?
Thank you. Due to the wishes of the Gentleman and customer that gave me the advice on powder to try. I will not be sharing it with the public. Only with customers I build rifles for. Which is a small number of people due to being a one man shop. This customer is a world champion fclass shooter and has won countless other national level matches etc. The cat will be out of the bag in the near future more than likely as more people are starting to tinker with this combo.

Well I haven't posted many rifles in quite a while even though Ive been cranking em out. These 300 wsm's Ive been doing are STUPID accurate and theyre all shooting the same load. Every one has shot 2" or less vertical at 890 yds with the same load.

Heres one thats shipping out this week to a customer.
I sighted it in at 100 and then came up for the 890 yd drop. Shot 3 shots that measured 1 5/8" and had single digit es. Less than 10 rounds down the rifle. The last 10 groups Ive shot with my personal rifle at 890 yds have had 2" or less vertical off a bipod and 4-20 ATACR.

This rifle has the following:
Defiance Machine ANTIX long action
Manners Composite Stocks LRH
Benchmark Barrels 30 cal 24" 9.0 tw sendero lite
Hawkins Hunter Bottom metal, hunter mag with mag spacer
Triggertech Special PVD
Nightforce ATACR 4-20 MOA-XT bedded into NF 4 screw rings

Parts are on the shelf.
Im finishing customer rifles and will be offering in stock rifles in the near future.

Well I got my new lightweight 22" 300 WSM rifle finished up. I got the barrel broke in and loads roughly finalized but wanted to wait until the new Silencerco Scythe-TI suppressor came in before I finalized the loads. I got the suppressor in Friday and threw the 3 port anchor brake on it to reduce recoil and muzzle rise as much as possible. It only added .3 oz over the single port brake that came w it. Didn't get a chance to test during the day due to massive mirage. After we came back from dinner it was dark out and I decided to park the truck in front of the target and shine the lights on it. It was cool out, no mirage and zero wind. I wanted to test some seating depths. Finished seating depth testing when .041 off the lands shot back to back .1" groups at 100. 3 thou on either side the groups opened up to the upper .2s. Good window. During seating depth testing I had 19 shots over the chrono that had a SD of 3 fps and ES of like 15 fps. I decided to call it a night and wait til morning and verify at 890 yds. Well morning came and was calm but a decent amount of mirage already. I had my info plugged into the Kestrel. 215 berger at 2665 fps which was only 20 fps slower than where my 24" 300 wsm tuned with the 215 berger. Sent 3 shots down to 890 yds which ended up measuring 2.086"/.223 moa and had 1.25"/.134 moa vertical.

Rifle has the following components.
Defiance ANTIX long action w nitride
Manners Pro Hunter
Benchmark 22" 9.0 tw sendero light
Triggertech Diamond set at 1.5 lbs
Hawkins Precision hunter bottom metal and mag w spacer in it
Silencerco Scythe-TI suppressor
Nightforce 4-20 ATACR bedded into 6 screw NF rings

Rifle weighs 9 lbs 12 oz with the ATACR and suppressor. Balances perfect.
Im able to watch the vapor trail go to the target. Reticle hardly leaves the 890 yd target during recoil. Spotting hits is a breeze.

Ill have more of these instock in the not so distant future.
