Here are my two Kukri knives from the Khukuri House. The bigger one is an absolute tank and I usually use it to split firewood etc.

What's the scoop? First I've heard of him this month.
Just one of those guys that doesn’t try and communicate with the response to emails and never answers the phone. Try and order and never responds. But some people are able to organize and get him to ship knives every time. I think he just has like a very limited customer base that he wants to deal with which is kind of bullshit.

By comparison I just ordered two knives from Tim Olt. We had three emails already in 24 hours.

I have a knife from him on the way. He has been great to work with, responds quick, no pressure. Multiple messages a day if I ask questions. Quoted me 6 months wait but offered up some extra stock much earlier.

I've worked with Gene before in the past as well. Same level of professionalism.

Tim Olt Loveless style compared to an actual Loveless licensed knife.

A bit bigger than the average knife but I was asked to make a blade for a pediatric cancer research fundraiser called Last Blade Standing. They bent, chopped, and sliced with them each time you advanced a bracket. I made it to the last 8 of 64 but was bumped in my bracket by the blade that came in second. Since it is my first sword I was mighty proud.
Dave Baker from forged in fire was the lead judge and did all the chop tests into a whiskey barrel.

Post your custom knives for me, I am ordering my first and 2nd custom knife from Gene Ingram and Lucas Forge. Looking for some good ideas/looks to send to them. As of now I am getting a D2 Steel Bird & Trout from Gene and a O1 steel Packer from Lucas. Both with wood handles probably looking at something similar to the below links.

Gene Ingram - Drop Point - Fort Henry Custom Knives

Who have you gone through for your custom?
This is a knife that a friend made for me about 30 years ago. He was working at the Yakutat airport for FAA, and made knives as a hobby and he kept a few at our Air Taxi office . He sold a few to tourists and hunters that would come through as we flew them out to their adventures.
He made this one for me from a sketch that I did for a blade shape that I wanted to try.

I like that very slight upsweep of the drop point on that one.
