photos too big to upload to a post? (new size limit?)

Is there now a size limit on photos? Just tried to post a pic and got a "file size too big" error. Never seen it before, and it was actually a pretty small pic. If so, any details on what works, and tips on resizing on a phone?

Actuallly I think that might be it--it was a screenshot that I was posting, and for some reason the cropped screenshot is like 10x larger of a file than the original photo. Not sure why that is, but that has to be it.

Screenshot will keep historical data so still a large file even if resolution is reduced

I've had to take an actual picture while posting to get it to load, got the "file too large to upload" when trying to share a picture from my photos on my phone.

If I remember correctly it’s the format size horizontal and vertical not necessarily the total file size.
