A deep shoreline tidal pool in Hawaii...

Photo was taken yesterday on a memorable shoreline hike with my 5yo grandson. This particular pool had over a dozen large sea turtles that we enjoyed watching...the head of one is visible in the center of the pool.

Southern most point in the USA...

South Point (Ka Lae), Hawaii (Big Island)...past the cliffs to the southern most point. Whales were breaching off-shore, but unfortunately not in the photo.

Didn't get back there on this trip with our daughter and two young grandchildren...my wife and I were limited to just a few days for hiking to remote beaches. Good you made it back there.

We were able to enjoy the wild hike to one of our favorite remote beaches...

...and we were all alone. The sand was so crazy hot that it burned your feet without foot wear.
