Photography- one photo a day

Looking out our kitchen window this morning at Sleeping Lady (Mt. Susitna), on the right and Mt. Spur on the left. Mt. Spur erupted back in August ‘92 and made a big mess in Anchorage, and they’re saying there’s a decent chance that it’s going to erupt again very soon.

Damn, is that all beetle kill? Looks a lot like parts of our state, secondary to those f@&#%*g beetles!

Ya so sad, there was a huge fire in this area a few years back, this basin and a few others were spared. Hoping the fire gets rid of some of the Beatles and the forest can recover eventually. The aspens are coming back thick already

Target rich environment: I'm seeing javalina, moose, a buck licking his butt, a bunch of snowshoe hare, and the same six mulies (lower right one has antlers).

That place will burn badly when it does. Need more rain to make sap to plug up the beetle holes and keep the mold out of the sapwood.
