Taken in the Queen Charlotte Islands 2005. A dozen of them entertained us for a good 20 minutes while we were fishing.

I got lucky and stumbled on him. As I was walking I thought I was seeing ashes falling in the breeze. Turns out it was feathers he was dropping. I watched him for about 10 minutes and got a lot of pictures. He didn't seem to care that I was there.

Not far from Devil's Tower, in Hullet WY. I just spent a week taking pictures of birds and animals. Great to get away
