@mtwarden slightly off-topic, but what sticks are you using. I'm having the hardest time finding anything long & solid enough for proper support, only bendy telscopic versions etc. Yours look to be one-piece?

those are black diamond carbon z poles; fold up when you don't need them (or want them ie climbing with hands free)- very lightweight, they've held up great (5 years and counting), but I try to be pretty careful with them

I've got some two piece BD aluminum ski /trekking poles that are more robust and get used snowshoeing, backcountry skiing or anywhere I need more burly poles- they are the WR Traverse model, WR stands for whippet ready, which I've come to appreciate in steep and snow
