Really cool image...

I first experienced fata morgana shortly after I moved from Colorado to Alaska in late October (thirty five years ago). I honestly initially thought that there were unexpected flattened mountain mesas off in the distance that I was excited to explore, but I couldn't later find them on any topo map. That same day I quickly learned of the really interesting phenomena called fata morgana, which we get to enjoy several times each year up here.
