That brings back fond memories. I used to live in Logan in the 1980s...back then a season pass at Beaver Mountain was $75 and I rarely saw anyone hiking or hunting blue grouse. Excellent trout fishing, hiking, skiing, and a 90 day duck season was pretty nice....1,600 feet above Logan. It's nice that enough of the snow has melted to drive on some of the lower south facing slopes. This particular trail has a stretch that climbs 800 feet vertically in 2,900 horizontal feet (average of 27.5%) on loose rocks/dirt/gravel. Some parts are a lot steeper than others, so max grade is probably mid-thirty some %.
