Photography- one photo a day

Hopefully someone can get a good photo of the Christmas Star tonight. It's going to be cloudy where I am at so we won't be able to see it.
Just a crappy cell phone pic, but hopefully the upload quality is good enough to give you an idea of what it looked like. The night before was supposed to be the best view of them close together, but it was cloudy here. Just happy clouds broke for a bit to see it at all.

Phone picture through a spotting scope of Jupiter, Saturn, and 3 of Jupiter's moons. I didn't realize that Saturn's rings are actually visible through a good spotting scope! But that doesn't show up on the picture, neither do several of the other moons.

I can believe it. If you hike up to it - its very impressive in size! Great wild country - have also bowhunted elk up there. This was all 20 years ago. LOTS of grizzlies to keep things interesting.
