I have a Samsung S6 I would like to use for digiscoping. I don't know when I will be upgrading to a new phone, but purchasing a new adapter every time doesn't seem like a good idea. I don't want a model that requires a lot of adjusting every time I use it either. Are they something I can leave on my phone permanently? To bulky for that? Durable enough? I would not just want to install it for a week long hunt, but more like 4 to 5 months out of the year. I would also like to be able to use it with both my binoculars and spotter. Does anyone have experience with both of these? Is there another brand I should be looking at?

I much prefer the outdoorsman over the phone skope. I just upgraded my phone a few weeks ago and gave outdoorsmans a call, they mailed new adhesive sticky tape to change the adapter over to a new case for free. They should include some extra with the adapter but either way it was super simple to change it.

The outdoorsmans is less bulky and just a great quality being its aluminum vs plastic. As far as function goes, both work good.

The outdoorsmans is much less intrusive when left on the phone, think of a quarter centered at the top of the phone so only half of it is sticking out. The phone skope universal is what I had and it leaves Velcro on the case of the phone that gets covered in lint if you put your phone in your pocket.

I have a Kowa 663 with a TE-9z eye piece. On Kowa's website they are showing a 50mm adapter. I do not see a 50mm option for the Outdoorsman. Would a 51mm work fine or am I going to regret buying it? Maybe I will need to use the phone skope to get the proper fit. I also have a set of Swarovski 10x50 EL I would like to use it with. Both manufacturers make the correct adapter for it so that does not look like it will be a problem. However, is one easier to change adapters than the other?

I like the outdoorsmans better because all I have to do is unscrew the cap that fits my spotter and screw on the one that fits the binos and I'm ready. Simple and small.

I will be making the switch to the Outdoorsmans. I went through some phoneskope adapters that did not fit correctly and found out that I had to eat the shipping both ways because that was their policy.

Check out the Rokslide review on the Novagrade adapter. I think that's the one I'll be getting as it's adaptable to pretty much any phone, meaning I can keep on issuing it with every phone as I get new ones over the years.

Yeah that's pretty versatile, with the outdoorsmans they just send you replacement adhesive to put on a new phone or case so if you upgrade it really doesn't matter as it isn't specific to a phone or case.
