When people start recommending “axe throwing” when you ask for advice on what to do in a certain city…..you know that place sucks balls.

Phoenix really is a crappy place, there are very few if any redeeming qualities about it. It’s hotter than hell, crowded and the best thing to do in the entire city is axe throwing.

Actually, tubing the salt river is fun but other than that, Phoenix sucks.

Kind of true. haha. I have lived here my entire life and every time I hunt out of state, I ask myself why I continue to live in that concrete frying pan. I could take me money and go somewhere else and it will go a long ways compared to here.

My folks retired there a decade back. It can be nice in the winter.

Well, 5M people living in Phoenix and one of the fastest growing metropolitan cities in the country. Can't be too bad. Ya, its hot in the summer. Just go up to the mountains to cool off. Lots of outdoors stuff to do here and tons of public land to go play on. For sure worse places to live.

Damn, dude, we get it. You don’t like Arizona. Every AZ thread that pops up is the same. For someone that doesn’t like a particular state, you sure spend a lot of energy trying to convince everyone that what you’re saying is in fact true.

It’s ok man. Relax. Life is good. 😎

Also, Ben Avery has been reservation only for quite some time due to coronavirus and it fills up weeks in advance
I shot sporting clays and a round of skeet at Ben Avery in late January on a week day. I walked in without reservations and went right out and shot. Not sure if JBSmith is speaking about the rifle range?

Sorry man, I didn’t realize you were such a fan of Arizona. I guess if I lived there I’d also try to defend it if only to try to convince myself.

The Mogollon rim is ~90 minutes away for most people. Flag is ~2-2.5 hours away. Hell, I lived in Texas and you can't escape the summer heat there.

The heat is just one factor. There’s a lot to hate about Phoenix, the heat just makes it even more terrible.

Well, a good +5M people disagree with you. Your hatred of Phoenix is duly noted, as another posted has stated its almost over the top - like did someone from Phoenix bang your wife or something?

No I had to live there for awhile a few years back to deal with some family stuff. My hatred of the place comes from having to stay there for the better part of a year.
