This right here. We should all be data/results driven decision makers. I don’t need to be right. I want the truth. Right now, I see the small cartridge debate using an absolute mountain of data to back up their claim and another side that is very much using thoughts and feelings. Nobody that has made the switch to a smaller cartridge is getting back on hear claiming to be hoodwinked or providing stories/evidence that they shot animals and they didn’t die. I agree with the quoted post, people bitch on Rokslide about everything, you really think they wouldn’t come back and raise hell if they invested in a smaller cartridge system that didn’t work?

There’s a mythical anatomy of elk in people’s heads for some reason that does not align with reality. The smaller cartridges with specific bullets are absolutely getting sufficient penetration to reach the vitals and the wound channels speak for themselves.

It's to the point that it's obvious. I set him to Ignore because it seems he either does low effort trolling or genuinely doesn't realize how he comes across. The latter possibility is kind of scary.

Same. I come on Rokslide to learn and also share what little knowledge and info I have. Seems like most guys are on here for the same reasons, which I love. When someone is obviously trolling and being argumentative for the sake of it, I just hit ignore and move on.

You won't post them because you're not here for information sharing or education. You enjoy turmoil and discontent. Your continued pushing of contrarian views with no definitive proof of why these small cartridges are bad just pushes more people off the fence and into trying small cartridges. They see how you make a straw argument and can't or won't back up what you call the truth while small cartridge guys bring the receipts. Thank you for helping spread the gospel of small cartridges for big game when used with optimized bullets at specific velocity windows! Can I get an AMEN!!!

I have said multiple times that I don’t care what anyone uses, as long as it’s legal and they are cleanly killing, not wounding or “missing” (which is usually a wounded animal that they couldn’t find blood from amd gave up after 5 minutes.) What I don’t like is someone telling me that what has been working for me and many others actually doesn’t work, I can’t see the true results because I’m blinded by being in a cult, and basically accusing me of lying about my results because of said cult.

Plenty of pics on the www showing great penetration and wound channels on big game too.

Shot placement is, was and always will be the biggest factor in harvesting big game. If you don't hit vitals you may as well use your rifle as a club.

JVB is just bought and paid for by his sponsors. Why anyone would risk a shot on a bull elk at distance as it's going over the hill...... sounds like you never had the shot. I watched a 25 Creed and a 22 Arc take down some serious African game this last two weeks and am impressed on what that little bullet does. Shot placement should be first and foremost on anyone's mind.
