I recently got a pair of Crispi Lapponia 2’s. I was wondering whether or not it was okay to spray permethrin on them. I reached out to Crispi this was their response

“I probably wouldn't because it will soak into the leather and could cause issues internally by breaking down the glue in the boots.”

I was wondering if anyone had safely used permethrin on their boots

2 soakings of permethrin a year for the last 4 yrs hasn't seemed to affect my Crispi Thor's....although they arent leather.

Yes, Permithrin is OK, DEET, not so much. DEET will destroy just about anything synthetic. Please don't ask me how I know.

Not Crispi, but I've been spraying permethrin on my boots for years without a problem.
