Once you start shooting suppressed, there’s a good chance you won’t want to shoot any other way.

You have made the correct decision. For me the one rifle I’ve checked the POI is .5mil up with suppressor off. This has been consistent for me over about 5ish occasions. If you’re like me, you will dislike any non suppressed shooting. Thanks for all the input. Sounds like it is doable to take it on/off and essentially keep same zero and zero offset (which was the gist of my original post). I’ll 30 round zero with out it, then 20 round zero offset with it on.
We have decided on OG, and will use Silencer Shop Single Shot for the Trust. We’d do a traditional trust, but don’t see need of multiple NFA items at this point. Maybe by the time I need another, I’ll have gained some sense and be out of Cali… but hard to leave the grand kids…

Thx. Yes, I am already in the "dislike" camp, but at this point that means don't hunt most of my tags (or I guess "get better at Archery"You have made the correct decision. Sounds like an excuse to build a second rifle. Set one up suppressed and one not.Situation is that I live in California. I shoot mostly here (obviously). However, I do hunt out of state and shoot in Nevada with family a little.
Option: I can get a Can (NFA Trust as a Trustee) with my brother (NV res) and have it at his house for use when I need to there.
What this means is that I would be taking the can on/off. I could zero with can and without and figure the POI change. Not real sure if I would need to re-zero each time I put the can back on if I used some type of index mark or something to ensure is was spun on the same each time.
Just trying to figure if it is worth the hassle to get the Can in the trust and use it when possible, or since 80-90% of my shooting will be without it, just forget it.
