Well after a decade and a half the ol land of enchantment finally decided to grace us with another pair of elk tags. I’d like to try something a little different on the forums…
For those with experience in 45, what areas would you just NOT recommend going? We always go for gold in NM planning to not draw and head for Colorado so this year we’d like to avoid the Colorado experience and not be tripping over other hunters all week. This will be our first run at 45 but we’re fairly savvy on gettin into elk just hoping to avoid the areas that will have the most hunter traffic. Hoping with fairly low tag numbers it won’t be too terribly crowded. We’ll be trailering the ponies up there so planning to be further than the pack back hunters but hopefully not right in with the outfitters either.
Anyways, thought this might be a little refreshing and different post than the normal askin for gps coordinates to your best areas! Lol
Thanks in advance and good luck this fall!
