I have some questions on the Peak44 stocks and want to see if anyone else has used or gone this route. My questions apply to both the Bastion and Blacktooth.
- Has anyone installed a short SRS Hunters Rail? I may try it on the Bastion first. It would have to be cut down a few inches for the blacktooth but should be easy enough. I want a longer rail for better stability and different balance points so the arca + pic is shorter than I want.
- Has anyone added flush cups on the side of the stock front and back?

I bet @Shooter264 can answer your questions about the Peak 44 stocks.

I installed an SRS arca/pic rail with QD cup. The front mounting pint uses the sling stud. For the back point I first I drilled and tapped a hole, then installed a threaded insert using G-Flex epoxy. Then I sanded the footprint of the rail, and bedded the rail with more epoxy, and put in machine screws for the sling stud and threaded insert. The epoxy itself is probably sufficient, as Ive had to take one of these rails off another gun and it took heat and a lot of force.

I contemplated installing a flush cup in the front of the stock, but the SRS rail solves that need very solidly. The carbon is super thin at the back end and the foam fill seems to be low density, so was reluctant to install a flush cup, even with "potting" of a larger hole beneath the carbon with lots of epoxy mixed with silica strengthener and chopped fiberglass.

My simple solution is to attach a gatekeeper buckle to the recoil pad by passing dyneema cord through the honeycomb holes. The latchable end of the buckle will connect to the lower nylon loop end of the rifle sling (sling swivel attachment removed). So the gatekeeper allows quick removal of the lower sling end, and thebupper end uses the SRS QD cup. Ill take a photo soon.
