Thanks for posting this Plainsman. I hadn’t heard anything about it and am about to leave for WY. Fortunately, I have none of them after checking.

Heads us guys and gals.

Hey, my name is Alex and I work at Peak as a wholesale manager. Little insight here, our chicken supplier, BrucePac, is the one who recalled their chicken and had traces of listeria found in their facility. They recalled 12 million pounds of diced chicken nationwide.

Just so you know, we test for listeria, among many other things, both when we freeze dry, cook and package. None of our products tested positive, but we are following the recommendation from USDA to proceed with a voluntary recall and are recalling all products they have deemed could POSSIBLY have been impacted.

All of our Amazon, website, and wholesale customers have been contacted.

I unknowingly ate a fair amount of product that was in the effected batches and have been fine. Feel free to email me with any questions at [email protected].

Thanks for sharing Plainsman. Just checked a few bags of Chicken Pesto I have in the garage and they match the lot numbers

I went through my supply and found one meal that is on the recall list. I sent an email and will wait to hear what they say. Chances are I ate several meals on the recall list in September with no negative side effects. I'm not too worried but a bout with Listeria doesn't sound fun. Hopefully this doesn't hurt Peak too bad financially because they are my current favorite freeze-dried meal option.
