Peak 44 Tikka Stock Fit - What am I missing?

I have High Desert Rifle Works (now Ten Second Precision) bottom metal on my Blacktooth stock. Very happy with it.

I’m 6’ and it is a little short but I bought them to cut some weight since I tend to use heavy scopes. No issues for me.

I have two of these and one MT. Same thing, rebranded MT and great price.

Non issue except aesthetics if that’s what you also like. Next time buy the Compact contour. Takes a few minutes to sand out the nub at the tip of the fore end and it’s free floated. My first one was also a Sporter so the next ones were Compact. I emailed RedHawk and they said it would fit with just a little elbow grease so I tried it. A dowel and sandpaper and a couple minutes is all it took.

I'm about to order a Peak 44 for my .270. It's an original T3 circa 2008. Do you think the compact barrel contour will fit better than the T3x lite? Appreciate your thoughts!

I believe it’s purely an aesthetics thing. I have no issues with my T3x Lite and Superlite in the compact stocks, both are 24” barrels, both are free floated after just removing that little nub at the tip of the fore end. Both shoot the same as in the Sporter stock. 5 shots, 200 yards, zero issues. The rifles shoot better than I can.
