Peak 44 Blacktooth Stock

Just throwing some questions out, I'm debating on a build for a lightweight 22 creed. I've been eyeing the peak 44 black tooth. It seems like everything I want/need.

1: Is it a true drop in style?
2: Is it a slippery stock, I've held other carbon style stocks/chassis and they were slick in the palm swell and fore end.
3: Is there anything I should know going this direction?

I appreciate you all looking and giving feedback. Thanks!

1: The Peak44 I use was a direct drop in, just needed beading.
2: I don't find it slippery (unlike the stock it replaced; I needed grip tape on it). It doesn't have "extra grip texture" added.
3: I can't say there is anything weird you need to know. Do a search, there are a couple other threads on this brand stock.

Right on, I've done my fair share of research on it. But it seems as though what I find else where is pushed to promote. It may be deserving, although here it seems guys will give honest hands on review.

I appreciate the feedback

We will see...I have a tikka black tooth on the way
Did you end up liking it? I just received mine today from Red Hawk rifles. And on top of it being the wrong barrel channel it had a lot of defects that were made prior to paint. I’m sure Red hawk will make it right but I’m very disappointed in the quality. I was excited because of the reviews and the weight of it! Back to the drawing board I guess! I hope yours worked well!

I've had a Blacktooth for a couple of years now on a R700. I like it a lot but I wish it was a Bastion. Grip and finish is much better than the Stocky's carbon stocks. It looks and feels much higher quality.

Choose wisely between the Blacktooth and Bastion.

Remember that if you have a Weatherby dealer near you there is a very high likelihood they will have rifles in both stocks in stock for you to fondle.

I had a couple cosmetic things but not as bad as that... The channel is also MUCH bigger than I thought even though the dimensions line up with the website.

I’m thinking I might stop by a local dealer and check them out. I’m curious about the finish and quality of them after seeing the on

I've got a bastion for a tikka and it was a direct drop in, shoots great unbedded. I like the finish on them, its not slick imo, it feels simialr in finish to an AG composites I have.

Mine had none of those issues. I ordered from Peak 44 directly however. I don't know why anyone would not do that.
The reason is others have them in stock and you can have it in a week be 3 months. That being said it’s on Peak for the damage not the retailer. All the damage is pre finish.
