Peak 44 Bastion Tikka Stock

I'm interested in any info on a semi custom Tikka with a Bastion stock and CF barrel. Working on a 6CM build and weighing all the options.

What are you trying to solve for with the CF barrel?

In 6cm I think you'd enjoy the Bastion stock.

Just ideas on people's configurations and component selections more than anything. Not wanting to re-invent the wheel so to speak. Did you bed yours?

I just picked up a used Bastion. Tried it on my 223 and it is nice and light. The stock is very slick. The grip and fore end need texture as it just slides off the bags without any push. I am currently evaluating the bastion vs the rokstock. From a first time shooting the Bastion is easier to get behind as it has less negative comb angle. The recoil pad is eehhhh. I would prefer the ability to add my own as I will likely need to increase LOP. The LOP of the RS and Bastion are to short for me to be comfortable. I added a slip on recoil pad I had for a shotgun on the RS and it improved my interface with stock. Haven’t tried it yet on the Bastion.
Appears both stocks LOP are for smaller framed people. 6’0 190. Both stocks need mods out of the box IMO to be as comfortable as my EH1. This is how they fit me so your mileage may vary.

I have Blacktooth on a 700 LA. I bought it right before the Bastion came out. I like it a lot but I wish it was a Bastion FWIW. The Bastion is a really nicely shaped stock. They are all going to be very similar so just find a local Weatherby dealer and handle one.
