Peak 44 Bastion Tikka Review

Thank you!

Stock is the Green & Brown Sponge... Barrel is Sniper Grey.
Appreciate the reply I order the carbon only gonna call and try to change before they make it that brown and green looks better than they show! Also do you think cerakoting is worth it?

Started as a Tikka 300WM. Sent action to UM for nitride/bolt fluting. 18" 6.5PRC barrel from Preferred Barrels, HD linear bottom metal, Nomad LTI suppressor.
Sounds like a great build so I'm stands for what company I would like to have my action done im in the process of a tikka 300 saum build myself..what was the price point of the nitride job

I think it was $150 or so at UM

Do you know anyone who does nitride other than Unknown Munitions? Love UM, just curious if there's other options out there.
Um actually has a third party company they send the parts too unsure of the company that actually does the work. I am still on the fence with doing it don’t want to ruin a good action but sounding like it has no effect

Looked through thread, but didnt see this exactly (and of course I may have missed it).

For those of you that have these, are you bedding the rifle in addition to bedding the recoil lug?

Thanks

The recoil lug is bedded in from the factory. I don't believe it's required but I bed all my actions.

Recoil lugs only recently started being bedded. I bought a bastion last year that I had to bed and the one I just got in was already bedded. I would have preferred to bed it myself. Epoxy was everywhere and was a mess and pain to clean up.

Probably depends on the manufactured date. I bought one last year also and it was bedded. I didn't have the epoxy issue.
