Has anyone seen/held one yet? I'd love to hear initial thought or impressions!

I haven't yet, but I'm very curious. I have an email in to them about some more detail pics, when they get back to me I'll post them up.

Yes...what is it you want to know specifically?

Nice stock. Very subtle differences to the AG Composites Carbon All Terrain.

The Peak 44 is slightly wider than the AGC Privateer.

The new Weatherby 3DHex (version 2.0) on the Peak 44 is improved over the original 3DHex on the Weatherby Backcountry.

Thanks for the pics. How do you find the grip angle and palm swell?

I like the feel of the grip angle and palm swell for such a light stock. I'll give the head nod to P44 over the AGC.

The P44 has slightly wider grip than AGC. and it narrows nicely at top as it transitions to butt stock.

How well did the stock fit your action?
Is the paint on the outside or under a coat of resin?
How much flex is there in the fore-stock?

I called Peak44 to ask some questions, waited on hold for most of my trip home (in Houston traffic, that is a LONG time). I didn't get to speak to anyone.

I have handled two Peak 44 stocks on Weatherby Backcountry 2.0s. The Peak 44 stock feels better in my hand than did the AGC Privateer that was on the original Backcountry. I could not warm up to the forearm on the AGC stock.

The flat forearm certainly beats out the agc rounded forearm. Also seems to handle recoil better

My personal issue with the AGC forearm is shown in the photo @BjornF16 posted above looking at the very ends of both stocks. The AGC stock does not contour in towards the top of the forearm and it just doesn’t feel good in my hand. That is likely to allow for the inletting of larger barrels but it doesn’t work for me.

How is the comb height on the Peak44s? I'm temped to try one for a 30 nosler build and cut 8-10 oz off my McMillan. Planning on a March 3-24x52 in Hawkins Hybrids.

Unfortunately, the ones I handled did not have scopes mounted on the rifles. If you have handled an Alterra Arms stock, I think the combs are similar. My Alterra Arms stock is fine with low Hawkins Hybrids and a Bushnell LRHS.

Very comfortable
Here is a nx8 50mm in nf medium(1.0" height) rings

One drawback to the peak stock is they don't reccomend the use of a pic rail bipod. For what I'm using this for the spartan works just fine.

I have one sitting on my safe that I can't use. The bottom metal I wanted to use for it wouldn't work(M5). I would love to find a good use for it.

Has anyone actually weighed a peak 44 stock yet? For real world numbers.

In the Weatherby mark V 6 lug, other contours may have some variance

Is that with the recoil pad and bedding?

I’ve bedded 3 so far. Weights came in as follows pre-bedding. 18.5, 19.2. 19.9 ounces. I’m really impressed w them so far. I have one on my sheep rifle that weighs 6lbs 4 ounces scoped and one on a 25 saum that is 7lbs 2 ounces w a March scope on it.
