I’ve been shooting them for over 20 years for Varmint and pest control and now in field competition
man what a blast and really cool how they have progressed! Now I have my 12 y old grandson competing too
winnping his first match 😊 great trigger time this day and age with ammo hard to find !

I have more money in my air rifles than my regular powder burners. I found them about 20 years ago to on the old yellow forum. I have a few Air Force guns, a WARP and a few others.

I find that I enjoy them more than my 'normal' guns.

It's fun to see people’s faces when they mention air rifle and have no idea how far technology has come in the last few years.

Keep saying to myself I'm gonna take the PCP plunge at some point. But soo many other things higher up the list though in terms of powder burners, cause I went for years with just my two revolvers.

Taken a lot of stuff with my Umarex Octane Breakbarrel though. The quietness is actually one heckuva benefit if you're like creeping around the Mojave looking for small game.

I have several. They are a kick in the ...
Well shoot bubble, we may have to schedule a range day so I can get a feel for what features I'll need in a PCP!

Ideally I'd like something I can take a coyote with, but isn't ungodly heavy. I figure you get a .25cal would probably be best bet and feed it ammo on the heavier side.

Zactly!
Gary, I am out of comission for a bit. I had full right knee replacement May 13th, and prostate surgery yesterday. This very minute I am in the emergency room because I could not urinate. I'll be going home with a catheter. Removal should be Monday. This was my 4th surgery since December 17th of 2021. Once my right knee heals, I need to get the knee done (full replacement)

As someone who's had an endoscope used on them by a doctor, and also had a vasectomy done... OOOoooooh-hoo-hooo-hooooo you made me cringe just now talkin' bout prostate surgery!

I hope if you had cancerous cells in there that instead of trying to cut them out.. they instead did the method of implanting a radioactive "Seed" in there. They leave it in for a prescribed amount of time. Then a 2nd surgery to remove it and do some clean-up at site. I was told by a neighbor that the "seed" method works much better at not giving the user incontenence issues afterward. Don't mean to pry, but I feel it's important to spread this kind of info around to others.

I can't say I'm addicted, but I do have a .25 Benjamin Marauder. I bought it primarily for the starlings and house sparrows that either compete or harass my Bluebirds. ;)

I bought some after market parts a special compressor and bottle, and lot of different pellets, so maybe I am addicted.

Love Snipin' Sparrows with the Umarex!

Out of curiosity, I did some calculations and by my figuring.. visually what you'd see in aiming at a sparrow at 20yds... should visually be about the same as what you'd see aiming at a deer-sized body at about 200yds. So in that regard I see this as a neat tool for some helpful practice in getting on target rapidly since the sparrows tend to not exactly hold still. And also my particular air rifles trigger is kinda harsh/hard. So learning how to shoot IT accurately inherently makes you even better at using an even better triggered arm.

I wouldn't say I have an addiction, but I used to compete in 10m Air Rifle and did well enough at it to go to college and do it. I did take a few squirrels and a rabbit with an Anschutz 8002 and a match wadcutter. Scoped, it was cheating under 20yds. Past that, and I didn't feel it had the oomph to do the job. I did take a shot at a squirrel at 35 or so and the pellet didn't even break the skin.

I just moved to a place that only allows small game hunting with shotguns and airguns up to 25 cal. I'd love a high end FX, Air Arms, etc, but I think I'm going to end up getting an Air Venturi Avenger in 25 unless I sell a powder burner to finance an airgun.
