Pbb slow barrels?

Has anyone that has got a barrel from Pbb noticed that they are on the slow side?

My 22” 7 sherman max around 200 fps average slower then what I’m seeing others with the same length barrel shooting and 100fps slower then 7 saum.

Yes. A 25creedmoor and 25-284. Both ended up about 100-150fps slower than I expected them to be. The 25-284 was REALLY slow and showed pressure early. I sent it back, they went through it and said it should be fine. I put another 50 rounds through it and the barrel sped up over 100fps.

Both of mine are on tikka actions fwiw. Both shoot very accurately but definitely show pressure sooner than expected.

That is quite slow. Not shot a 7 max to know how hot that charge is but it’s not unreasonable to be over 2800 fps with a 180h over a Hodgdon extreme powder in a 22” 7 saum.

H4350 seems a little on the fast burning side though, is it a common powder choice with known 7 max 180 loads?

It’s what rich Sherman recommended. I tried n565 and it was the same
