Hello,

I have quit using “friends and family “ I have had 3 different accounts ask me to pay there girlfriends account, not use friends and family and the profile name doesn’t match Venmo or Cash App. I allow buyer to use the protection with me to pay now… I am told that’s not fair people get the items and pull back the funds..
love the opportunity just not liking the risk anymore lots of scammers..

Any buyer that is considering F&F tx w an FNG needs their head checked. As an FNG I don't consider asking a buyer to use a non protected sale medium.

Most of the following is in the classifieds guide, but here's what I've found:

Even with G&S payments, facetime or have a phone call prior to paying a dime. Use a credit card so you can charge back if a scammer manipulates PayPal into winning a dispute.

Look into the phone number, name of seller etc. Use a reverse image search to see if the photos were pulled from ebay, here, SH, whatever. Between AI tools, VOIP and VPNs anything can be faked besides a real time video or phone call. For now at least.

Huh? Friends and Family have nothing to do with a business transaction so I'm not sure why you would ever entertain that method to begin with.

I've used Venmo on this Forum and LRH without any issues. I pick up the phone and call the seller as well as match up his phone number with his Venmo account. There's plenty of things you can do to prevent being scammed.

You've got 9 posts, an odd thread, and a smart ass remark. Don't expect any love from these guys.... rightfully so.
