Hi, new member planning my first elk hunt this September in Colorado. I need to gear up and came across Paria Outdoors for tents and sleeping gear. Anyone have current thoughts on their stuff? I saw some older posts but was looking for new info. Thanks.

just took a look at their website. I am not familiar with their gear but I can tell you that it looks like they are on the lower end of the spectrum in terms of quality. I think you may be better off checking the classified on here and getting some used gear from kuiu, Sitka, Kifaru, stone glacier, skre, seek outside, hilibergg, Exo, slumber jack. Also rei garage and backcountry.com sales has awesome stuff from marmot, northface, big Agnes, nemo, mountain hardware, etc. lots of great ways to get higher quality gear in my opinion.

I have the Paria 0 degree down sleeping bag and like it so far. Only used once in late October in the BWCA and lows got into the teens and it kept me plenty warm. Can't really comment on the durability yet but I will be taking it to Colorado in September. Not the lightest bag at just over 3 pounds but it packs down pretty well.

I have the paria 15 degree down quilt. I love it, used it for the past 2 years and it's been extremely comfortable. Took about a week or two for the duck smell to go away after I purchased. Since then it's been money. It came with pad straps and I lost mine. Messaged them about a week ago and asked if they sold them, they asked for my address and shipped me them for free. Got them yesterday. They have excellent customer service. Haven't tried anything besides the quilt.

Only experience with Paria Outdoors is a sil tarp.
Price point is consistent with made in China. Quality is good, functions as I needed it to. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one of their products. From what I recall, there are lighter quilts available that might cost a tiny bit more

I owned one, but it was way too roomy for me. My dad likes his, but hasn't pushed the temps.

There are lighter options, and in my opinion, when you're in the 0* to 15* range, a quilt with a closed footbox makes a big difference.

I have their 15 degree down quilt. Works fine, I should have gotten a longer one though, as it gets a little short when you cinch the foot box together. It was a good experiment into the world of using a quilt, which has its perks! I don’t regret the purchase for the price I paid, but at ~2 lbs I will likely upgrade to something else. Either go lighter, or something with more creature comforts for the same weight penalty.
