As with all the lead free projectiles ( and leaded) it needs velocity for good expansion. The LRX is supposed to expand at a little lower speed that the TSX line. That said , yes, I've had good experience with them on deer . I'm running them at 3000 fps out of a Rem. Mag.

Remington 24" sporter , IMR-4831. I've worked up loads for my Remington, my Interarms and my buddy's Browning all with IMR-4831 and all have shot under .750 groups . For what ever reason 7mm mags like the 4831 powder. On my hunting rifle I got a .187 group at 100 yards, one of my best ever. The LRX bullets seem to have great accuracy.
