Painting a stock

I did my vanguard a few moths ago dark green with the marbleizing paint and it came out pretty nice, will see how long it lasts.. that marbleizing paint was impossible to find locally I had to order it online

I just used Granite Creations as the base on my A-bolt. I really believe that cleaning the stock well is the trick to a good paint job.

Yes a good cleaning to get the oil off and then I sanded mine also

Everyone is different but to me, the only type of stock that I care about being pretty is real wood. Anything synthetic is purely utilitarian. As long as you break the out line up a little, it’s mission accomplished in my book.

Definitely not artistic in any way. I did this to
my tikka quickly and it turned out to me. Definitely hard on this gun with brush and the like so not going to worry about scratching up my paint job since it took such little time to do. I’d definitely do it again.

My "go to" camo job is a base color then I snip some branches from a tree and/or bush then make quick blasts with other colors randomly. Afterwards I use some matte clear to add some durability.
