Paint pens

As a cheaper alternative I buy/use arrow insert glue that has rubber mixed in with it. Attached photo are good examples of what I use instead of loctite 380. They are both a rubber toughened cyanoacrylate, and if they aren’t the same compound the differences are likely unnoticeable in use.

R/C hobby shops often have a big selection of glues, including rubber roughened. Seems like they crash their toys alot.

I can't speak to it though. I use 242 for threads and bedding bases.

BSI - Bob Smith Industries seems common in the radio-controlled hobby shops.

I believe IC-2000 is the BSI version of Loctite 380. Some claim it's better than 380, but suspect that it's application specific.

$10-12 per ounce, online.

"IC-2000™ has found many uses in industrial applications, such as rubber to rubber bonding by Beechcraft, carbon composite bonding by Boeing, rubber door seals by Volkswagen, speaker and subwoofer assembly in the audio industry and many others that need the most durable, shock resistant fast bonding adhesive that is available."
