Packs (Kuiu vs Kifaru vs EXO Mtn vs Tenzing)

Pump your brakes a little... your original post said you were considering the three "the best" packs so I mentioned three others that belong in the conversation and you get huffy? If you really want the best why wouldn't you try them all unless you have some brand loyalty...

Your looking for black and white answers in a subjective world and there's no one size fits all. I have 2 of the 3 you mentioned and a bunch of others but what works for me might not work for you. You also gave us NO background on what you guys are planning on hunting which makes it even more difficult... my answer will vary greatly if you're hunting whitetails in TX vs sheep in AK. I mentioned prices because those are tangible seeable differences.... and often one of the most limiting factors on gear selection is $$$.

At the end of the day all three are good packs, minus tenzing (which was #4 and is still decent, just not in the same ballpark). If money is no issue you're going to be hard pressed to do better than kifaru. But there are still times I take my Kuiu, or MR, or ......

I own exo 3500 and a kifaru ul frame with a high camp 7000. And I was going to give my review on them. I read through every post. Before I gave my comment. So I will just keep trolling. Have a happy full new year.

Well after your childish presumptuous comment, I'd have to say thank you, I doubt I'd value the opinion of someone saying such of someone they don't know.

Maybe you should just go back to AT and hang with like minded and acting people over there.

May be my comment was presumptuous. But bye the way U where come in across. U got what U got. And that's nothing. There is no way U can expect people to help U. When U come across as the way U did...

I did an extensive review of a kifaru and Exo frame, just search the backpack forum for it. Honestly, the information you are looking for is probably already in this forum already. My recommendation is to pick a couple and try them out. If your going to pay top dollar for an excellent pack, then you owe it to yourself to try them firsthand. It will cost you $30 in return shipping, but it is worth every penny. Of the four you listed, Exo and kifaru are the ones I would recommend to try out.

Thank you.

Have u used both the Duplex and bikini frame? Which do u prefer and why?

Does a Kifaru waist band allow for a handgun or bear spray to be attached?

Hey man, this is EXACTLY why I suggested you go check out the Backpacks section. You'd be tripping over information there if you were willing to look. There's got to be five threads specifically on holsters for Kifaru belts and Duplex vs Bikini discussions are weekly. I WAS trying to be helpful, but since you say it wasn't, I'll not make the mistake of offering up advice to you again. Sorry to inconvenience you.

He won't. I tired to offer that advice already and he said it was pointless and he wished I hadn't even replied. He only wants opinions on those specific packs and nothing else.

And I think this thread may've been started under a bridge...

I was thinking that you should go back to where you fit in. This forum, like Bow Hunt or Die and Last Leaf have people on them that are very knowledgeable and realize that even though many of us have done this for a very long time, we can still learn things. There are many here that have had experiences way beyond their years and are willing to help anyone who is willing to listen.

Yes a there are disagreements as to whether an .06 or a .300 WinMag is the best caliber for elk or whether a mechanical head is good for elk but as to belittling a fellow Rokslider goes, it just doesn't happen here and we don't want it to be here. We don't want to spend our time being told how wrong we are for not being able to express ourselves as succinctly as you desire.

As to my politics...... you are definitely a piker when it comes to a conservative viewpoint.

You remind me of some of the wealthy clients that I had while I was guiding. They would spend all sorts of money to be on a guided hunt and then they would proceed to tell me, the experienced guide, which call to use, when to use it and how often to use it. They were the first ones to move from the position that I had put them in and then be very upset because they couldn't see since they moved.
