Packing multiple eyepieces?

Does anyone ever pack multiple eyepieces, say one for scanning/glassing and one for getting a closer look at critters? Like a 30x wide for glassing and a 60x for a closer look. Waste of pack space?

I prefer to use only zoom lens because of heavy weight, but 30 wide is tempting so I only use them both on the car or when l'm not long distence trekking.

I carry binos for scanning and then switch to scope for a closer look.
