I need a casual insulated jacket that has a high degree of wind and water resistance for site visits. It needs to be durable and handle temp ranges in the teens or low 20's. A key desire is it must be packable (airline carry on) and good for travel. Mainly something to keep me warm and cut the wind on job sites when I am not in the office.

On first glance, I am thinking either the Kuiu Element or Arc'teryx Cerium as candidates.

Are there any other options out there to consider? I am out of the loop with all the offerings on the market these days.

Thanks

Kuiu elements is great but not really “Packable”. Kuhl, Marmont, Fjallraven, Rab, Mountain Hardware, etc all have a bunch of Jackets that might fit your needs.

Honestly based on your needs listed I would just get two pieces. A light rain jacket and a light/medium weight down puffy, pair them together or wear separate depending on the day.

I do the same thing. Work for a contractor and go to site visits flying across the country. I've been using this Decathlon as my puffy for the last two years. It was recommend highly on here and I couldn't agree more. You get free ship and there's codes floating around for 10+% off. Size one size up as they run small.
