Pack for 8-10 year olds

Got my daughter a door gunner a couple years ago and it seems to be about the right size for now. I don't put much in it but she packed out elk back straps with it last year with no issue.

This has already been mentioned, both my 14 year old and 12 year old sons have been using the Osprey Ace since they were 9 and 11 respectively. For the price and quality of the pack they are excellent for backpacking. Both can carry all the gear they need comfortably, we've done several overnights with them and neither of the boys every complained about the pack being uncomfortable. However this last season I realized with my 12 year old that they aren't the greatest for hunting because they do not have much for option when it comes to hauling out meat. So were moving towards the exo xs pack setup for my 12 year old, my 14 year old doesn't hunt so the ACE still functions fine for his purposes.

Another vote here for the Osprey Ace 48! Found one for cheap on FB market place, took my son backpacking last year. He was 10 and small for his age. It will even fit my 5’2” wife! It’s good enough for what I need it for. Not really hauling a lot of heavy weight for him.
