Gosh there is so much info out there I'm not sure what to choose! I'm sure this has been stated on other threads but I'm interested to see everyone's thoughts. I'm up in the air as far as packs are concerned. I'm torn between the kifaru, exo, and kuiu. What're your thoughts. Luckily I'm close to xxx archery in Oregon so I can try on the kifaru pack and frame before I buy but I'm torn. I'm new to the backcountry life but I'm hooked now. What do you guys suggest. Hunt length is 5-7 days in Washington if the location matters. Thanks in advance!!!

One of the biggest things that steered me to Kifaru was living close to the Kifaru shop and one shot gear where I could go and get help hands on with pack fit etc.. You're close enough to xxx archery to do the same. To me that is priceless because no matter how good the pack, if it's not adjusted perfect or you aren't donning it correctly, it will still be better than most packs but when you get it just right, it's amazing!

I have Kifaru as well, not tried the others. Sometimes you just have to buy to try whether it be new or used, but it may cost you a bit.

The only kind that matter are the ones that fit your back and your budget. Luckily the better manufacturers feel the same way and will happily let you return a pack as long as you don't really use it.

Personally the Outdoorsmans in the classifieds is a bargain, but I already have one.

If you're close to Renton, I can get you hooked up with a Dana Terraplane for cheap.

Thanks for all the input! I'm hoping to get a kifaru on my back in the next few weeks.

Buy the Kifaru and look at it as an investment not an expenditure. Don't waste $$ on other packs only to eventually come to Kifaru. I could've bought 3 Kifaru frames with what I spent trying to save $$$ on other set ups, where reviews and videos on YouTube by great outfitters led me to.
Get the Kifaru and save in the end.

I was dead set on a Kifaru, until I saw an EXO. I purchased the K2 2000 with some Kifaru accessories and absolutely love the system I have put together and love its versatility. I couldn't be happier.

I had a Kuiu Icon Pro 7200 and its a great pack. That said, the Kifaru EMR II and hunting frame I run now is by far the most comfortable, versatile pack I have ever owned. It is well worth every cent you will spend on it. The versatility of Kifaru packs in general is awesome. I use an EMR II, XTL lid (no longer in production) a medium and small belt pouch, and a Grab it. Works for everything from day hunts to 10+ days in the backcountry. If I had to do it all again, I would spend every cent I already have. Great gear, great customer service, and very comfortable.
