I was considering a lever gun.

I have a 450 marlin in BLR and can't find ammo.

The answer is obvious. A 760 Gamemaster in 30-06.

PA whitetail, 150 yard max, the real answer is whatever you want to or already own.

marlin 45-70 or mL but i would not be under gunned with a slug gun either. prefer a 12 but could stand a 20 ga.

20 gauge pump or semi slug gun. Grew up in MN hunting slug zones and 200yds and in but especially close in heavy brush nothing beats it. Guys talk about "brush" guns all the time but I have seen A LOT of limbs come down while the slug is on the way to the deer in heavy cover and hit its mark.
