Good luck to all in today’s Pennsylvania draw. Low odds, but it’s fun to dream.

That is Jack from Elk County Outfitters. Great guy. Sadley he passed just a short time ago. Met him in 04 when I drew a bull tag.

Pa has some monster bulls no doubt. Finding them can be a challenge, getting drawn is the tough part.

We also drew a blank. My crew has a total of 98 pref points for all three seasons. Will keep making donations. We off to Idaho in 20 days...

First time application this season...I can’t seem to find where on the site it shows results? I see my submitted application but nothing anywhere that saws successful or unsuccessful.

They actually called me yesterday. I totally forgot the elk draw was yesterday. Picked up the phone expecting them to ask me to take another survey until the lady said my day was about to get a lot better . Literally a dream hunt for me and the only place I can realistically drive to without being stressed out and need a second person. Just emailed that outfitter up above in the first post to get some info. Ive hunted elk in Montana but like most people, never out here in the east so not sure what to expect but figure it'll be a lot thicker hunting rather than the wide open landscapes, prairie, & mountains out west. Id say wish me luck but I won't ask for anymore considering the odds of that draw that I just got a tag for!

I did not see it either like previous years. I only know because they called me. However if you go to your preference points section and notice one is down to zero, thats probably a good sign. Also go to license history (I think it was) and it showed i was awarded my general season tag.

Just a FYI. Elk County Outfitters would be my one phone call. Great crew of guys with a very very long line of dead big bulls and cows to their credit.

They just emailed me back. Ill be giving them a call for sure. Might email one more outfitter. Its such a small unit with not much for public land so it honestly boils down to who can get me on the most private land. Everyone is saying that the outfitters have it all on lock so . Hopefully I get the right one.

I had 4 points and it is the zone 9 general season tag

Congrats on the tag, I drew Zone 9 cow back in 2018 on my first app. I hunted with Elk County Outfitters and was successful. One of the bull hunters also hunted with ECO and killed a 399" bull on the last day. The unit is very small and only has one piece of public that I'm aware of. There was a turnip plot on the public but I dont believe it was planted after that year. Elk typically filter into the zone after being pressured out of other zones. I was just up there about a month ago and saw 3 cows and two spikes right in the town of Driftwood. Back in March I saw two decent 6 points that were still holding their antlers.
