(We have an ozone change room at whitetail camp. Have it mounted up near the ceiling and keep in running 24/7 during season.

No issues with clothing or boots so far, been going for 4 years.)

So that's like, what, 1 week a year?
4 weeks total in 4 years?
Thanks for the heads up

Ozone is a proven health hazard, a quick google search turns up the scientific studies on this.

i know jt helps with odor in your clothing... just be careful breathing it in.

I had a new pair of rubber boots and they stunk big time out of the box like the new rubber smell, I had just got the scent crusher bag so I through them in for 30, they came out smelling worse so stupid me put them back in for more. They came out tacky and cracked

I worked with ozone generators in restoration of homes and equipment. So short blasts of ozone (less than 48 hrs) usually won't hurt anything other than it needs to be confined and should not be inhaled for long periods by humans/animals. So if you have to do it in a closed space that you can vent or open a window to when your done. Garage in a container would be good if you can seal the container. It will eat rubber, plastics, elastics, foam, etc over long periods. So if you want to treat something just do it for a short period. Doing it over and over on say rubber boots will eat them up.

This. We use ozone as a sanitizer in the winery, and it’s an incredible oxidizer. Fast, effective, and short half life. But it definitely breaks down rubber and the actual gas is pretty toxic. If it smells like watermelon rind or like the air after a thunderstorm (lightning produces O3) you’re getting a little too close.
