Over Priced Things That Shouldn't Be?

Many places have the add a tip portion on the screen when you pay with a card. I haven’t seen one in the last five years with a key for an amount less than 18 percent.

You can usually select custom tip and enter whatever you want. But someone is definitely pushing the 18/25/30 percent tip expectation.
And that is often for nothing but counter service.

3500 -5000 optics
2000 bows
1000 backpacks
5-7000 rifles
1000 watches
500 coats
500-700 boots
30 underwear
90000 trucks
300000 starter homes
Such stupidity in this country.I bet the guys with most of this stuff didn’t pay cash and are in debt.
I’m not opposed to buying good shit but be realistic and pay for it.
I’m just at a place at 49 were I can actually buy about any peice of hunting gear within reason.
My teen daughters boyfriends drive nicer trucks than me.
We are a nation of brats and debt.

Pricing here is probably no more or less mind blowing than anywhere else, but for me with my pee brain logic, the Covid years opened the door to rampant price gouging and myriads of outlets are raking huge profits from it, because they know we will pay whatever they charge! I feel like an idiot when this shit happens and right now I am stocked up on everything for a long haul emergency, though I could sure use another hunting rifle or target pistol!

I was in Colville WA the other day and a foot long at Subway was over $18
This was just the sandwich; no drinks and no sides.
Absolute highway robbery
Subway is a major rip off, go to the grocery and get the stuff for 10 sandwiches for the cost of a meal for me and my wife at subway.

I think you'd be surprised at how often I don't get tipped at all. Everything went fine, food was good, no tip. It happens a lot more than when I get 25%. Tip your servers! But don't fret about it. A few bucks for good service is usually totally fair.
tipping more than 10% is ridiculous.

If only some of you knew the actual landed cost of some of these products. We will just say some arrows I buy cost the normal joe $160-$180 per dozen bare shaft. I can get them for $50-$60ish and the company is still making money at that price.

I used to work for an optics company. $700 scope had a landed cost of about $300-$350. This 10ish years ago but....
