Bh209 is essentially noncorrosive. Never had any rust/corrosion in any of my rifles using it.

IDK, you must be doing something different. I’ve left rifles fouled with 777 for days as well and they don’t rust up on me. What type of corrosion preventative are you using? I prefer Hornady One Shot gun cleaner.

The other variable i guess is the barrel steel - stainless, blued, nitrided. Nitrided is preferable, IMO.

Blackhorn isn’t prohibited but the means of ignition is. Oregon and Idaho is where I typically hunt. It’s a chromoly barrel so that’s part of the issue. I could try one shot.
