Prob gonna purchase a thermarest luxery lite cot to haul into the back country for elk season.. My question for the guys who have used this cot is what else (pads) do you use? Years past I use both a blow up and foam pad to sleep on so would using both these pads on the cot be too much/ over kill? Should I just use one of the pads? Your thoughts?

You will need a pad as well in temps below 30s . For the weight of the cot , I think a down mat is more comfortable

I have one of these and use it for places that have bumpy ground as the cot makes it better than my Insulated aircore mat, however. It offer very little insulation so I place my aircore with just a small amount of air in it on top of the cot. If I air it up too much I roll off the entire setup.

If weight is no issue it always goes with me. I use it in conjunction with a BA q core with just a little air. I sleep great on the combo. When I say a little air im talking about 50% full.
