Over boots

Anyone use an over boot to protect leather from salt? I wear all leather boots and can not keep salt from penetrating the leather, even with heavy oiling and waxes. In WI salt and brine is used heavily and gets into everything. Rinsing with water is not getting the salt out and have to clean with saddle soap repeatedly to get clean.

At work many of our workers wear Neos studded boots. They can come studded or not, I wore them plenty and are lightweight and waterproof, built in gaiters as well.
We used to wear Snowgear rubber over boots, but they are heavy and not as durable. I wore them over lineman boots in the winter and feet stayed dry and warm.
