One of New Mexicos biggest outfitters offering cash to basically receive pins on a big buck. I’ve seen outfitters in other states do this too. You have a statewide tag holder paying the outfitter cash to turn up a big buck and now the outfitter has to resort to asking the public. Just crazy to me that hunting is turning into things like this. I bet someone will take the cash and send them a pin.IMG_8318.png

Colorado governors tag holder was offering a bounty on social a while back too. I continue to be saddened by the lows people will stoop to in the name of inches of antler. As much as I would love to shoot a 200” mule deer I am happy with all of the 150-175” bucks I’ve taken on publicly available tags and public land while just getting out and hunting and not being driven by the inches

The hunting sphere is a great case study on how you can take one of the most basic human behaviors, hunting animals. A behavior that has been going on since the first human. Then inject a ton of money over a relative short time period (compared to how long humans have been hunting) and look at the strange, bazaar, good and bad perverted outcomes. An absurd amount of money makes people do absurd things.

Head hunters, nothing more. There is a podcast I like to listen to, they had "Spook Spann" on there. Seemed like a nice dude, but man, he has over 20 200" whitetails and his method of getting on them was simply throwing cash at them. Where they were in the country was of no matter.

People will lose their minds if that happens lol. Just the optics of the possibility of data harvest from the inside at OnX would crush them I think.

Right. Selling my hunting spots would strike something primordial in me. Literally taking food out of my family’s mouths. Heads would roll.

Agreed, but would it be different if it was a unit you didn't put in for or one you knew you could never draw?

The YouTubers are hurting the sport more than these high rollers!!

I bet their emails fill up with fan boys pointed to hunting spots of their own hoping to become popular

YouTuber takes info, makes vids for 200k ppl to see and flock to the area

Spots ruined for nothing
