I am looking to book my first Mountain goat hunt. I have spoken to a few outfitters so far. I am looking for BC or an Alaskan permit hunt, Id like to go in 2026.
Budget would be to stay under $20k.

I have hunted with Bolen and Lewis, great outfit, but they sold the outfit last time I checked.

Hunted with Compass Mountain outfitters, they are super great. Not as remote (no float plan) but amazing country and saw a lot of goats. Killed a nice one

I guided here for 15 years and also shot a few goats in the same area. Some unsung goat country with zero resident pressure in most of the camps.

I have not guided there in 12 years and the outfitters has changed, but I bet the goat hunting hasn't. You can PM me is you have any questions.

Cheers

Dennis Zadra great guy great goat area.
Ben Stevenson also great goat area.
Anywhere almost. Kodiak has hands down some of the best goat hunting I have ever seen. I have guided or hunted goats in the wrangel mtns, chugach mtns, prince willow sound, and kodiak island. Kodiak. Every. Time.

Lonesome Dove/Dennis Zadra. If you can hike and tolerate weather, you will kill your goat.

Bob Milligan we went last fall and will be headed back this fall. Bob and Bobby are both good guys and have killed tons of awesome goats.

I liked Packhorse Creek so much I hunted with them 5x in 11 years. Took a few nice trophies, including a big billy.

Just hunted with Baldy Mountain (next territory over) last fall, and they're positively top-notch.

I saw Ben Stevenson mentioned earlier - I hunted his Dad's territory back in '11, and I think Ben's running it now. I've seen photos of great goats that came out of there.

Good luck, & let us know who you go with!
