Outdoorsmans vs Kramer Bino Mount

Maven's website says these are genuine Outdoorsmans studs, made of "machined aluminum".

Really cleanly machined aluminum can look like plastic. Tap it on a tooth to easily tell the difference.

Just a question I have. Swarovski has authorized Outdoorsmans to install their stud on the binoculars, and Swaro will still honor the warranty. What about the installation of the Maven (Kramer) stud? Might want to check with Swaro to see if they will honor the warranty if there is a problem after the installation of the Kramer stud.

I asked KDC about the swaro warranty and he said that they are very tight-lipped about their warranty, but that they treat his mod the exact same as the OD mod.

Has anyone ever asked swaro about the outdoorsmans stud install and their warranty?

Yes, I asked swaro about the warranty. They do state that OD is their preferred choice, but they were clear that if Kramer installed a stud it would not void their warranty.
