This Outdoorsmans setup will be awesome if you're looking to upgrade to a new setup for glassing with binos, a spotter, OR both. That's precisely how I have used these for the past 8 years. For perspective, I used this Pan head with my Swaro EL 12x50, later with the Swaro NL Pure 12x42 and all along with my Swaro ATX 65 spotter and used them interchangeably.
For being on high country hunts for the past 8 years, these items are in great condition with only a couple of noticeable scratches.
SOLD
Cost breakdown:
Adapter plate (retail is $22.49)
Bino adapter tall (retail is $71.99)
Gen 1 Micro pan head (retail gen 2 is $359)
Total package ROKSLIDE PRICE: $200 TYD
Payment needs to be Venmo or PayPal using F&F or add 3% for fees. Shipped from Salt Lake City, UT, with tracking number provided.
DETAILS:
Specific items in this package are:
1. Micro Pan Head, Gen 1. This is lightweight and very versatile. The pan head is compact and lightweight. What's the difference from the Gen 2? I'm glad you asked. Gen 1 requires the use of the Outdoorsmans adapter plate while Gen 2 can accept the Outdoorsmans or any Arca Swiss plate. The Gen 2 expanded capability comes with an added weight penalty.
2. Bino adaptor tall. This bino adapter requires a bino stud to be installed and connects simply and effectively to the binos. This adaptor fits in the micro pan head without any adaptor plate needed. I can't say enough about how solid this setup is vs. a tube adaptor.
3. Adaptor plate. This plate is necessary for you to put a spotting scope into the micro pan head. Use
NEED A TRIPOD?
I've used this setup on a Vanguard tripod, the BlackOvis Alpine Pro tripod, and an Aziak tripod. If you don't have a tripod and want a hunt ready entire setup ready to go (minus the bino stud which you'll need to buy based on your particular bino model), then for an extra $50 I will include my Vanguard 5 section carbon fiber tripod that I spray pained. See the final image. I will consider selling the tripod separately for $85 TYD.
