OTC units going to draw and one non-res pref point

Hey guys just looking for some solid advice on my future as an elk hunter in Colorado . I am from Indiana finishing my masters degree in environmental health and will be moving out there after next year. I was going to hunt otc the first year I was there but every unit I picked seems to have gone to draw for archery ( southwestern units along with a few central units). Can you guys confirm this change ? In addition I will have one preference point as a non resident out there. Can you tell me what my options would be this way as I will not be someone looking to save them up for trophy units? Thanks for your time.

Is there a particular reason why you chose to move to Colorado over say Montana or Wyoming?

Hey thank for replying but I just have more job opportunity in my field . Jobs seem harder to come by in Montana and especially Wyoming. I have to consider my wife that will be moving with me too and doesn’t have an environmental related degree . Plus I’ll be honest . I really love Colorado . Been there 9 or 10 times visiting and it’s amazing country
