Drew an Oregon Archery tag this year for Beattys Butte. It will actually be my first big game archery hunt so I am stoked!

Could be an interesting year as dry as it is - waterhole occupation likely to be at a premium! Might scout for that sweet little travel corridor and use it to short stop that guy who puts his blind up on the last reliable waterhole 2 months before the season

Yeah bold strategy! I like it. It is a big unit though for 39 guys, so hopefully I can find a solitary spring away from others. I plan to do a bunch of spot and stalking, decoying as well.

Good luck, Scout a bunch and have a well brushed in blind 2 weeks before the opener. There should be a leftover archery deer tag that I’d highly suggest having in your pocket.
